Hugh Laurie on Cover of TV Guide
April 27, 2006 by Cory

My wife really loves me! While at the grocery store the other day she nabbed me a copy of TV Guide so I could to a little “research.”
I love blogging!
Nice little piece: Cover shot of Hugh, as seen here. Nice two-page photo spread of the whole cast. And a two-page article.
They quickly refute any notion that House will soften up in the coming days. They seem to realize his cranky sarcasm is what makes the show. Without it, House is just another who-done-it with a medical twist. Here are a few extended quotes from the article.
First on his rising popularity in the States.
He’s sporting the five o’clock shadow and casual attire that have become House’s trademarks, though Laurie says he sometimes wishes he could be as intimidating as his character. “If I’m seen on the street or in a restaurant, it’s apparently an occasion worthy of being recorded on digital video camera. Surely my table manners cant’ be that interesting.”
On spending so much time away from his family.
Laurie, 46, who dated Emma Thompson back in his university days, has been married for 17 years to Jo Green, who remains in London with the couple’s three teenage children. Laurie flies back whenever he’s got more than a three- or four-day hiatus. The separation, Laurie says, has been “very, very hard on her… because it’s always harder on the person left behind. She approves of the endeavor all and all, but I’ve definitely left a void.”
And here’s a little spoiler involving Cuddy.
“We’re going to see House and Cuddy forming a connection,” [David] Shore says. later this season, “House will learn something about Cuddy that leads him to believe she’s sick. How they deal with that information is going to bring them closer together.” Does that mean they’ll get to play doctor? “We talk about it,” says [executive producer Katie] Jacobs. “But I don’t see House hooking up with anyone soon in a way that will soothe his soul.”

Yes, I do. And though Laurie’s baby blues are worth a second glance (and third), they don’t compare to yours! (Gag, gag, puke, I know.)
Oh yeah, and it’s a good show, too.
I think that he should be on alot more covers of stuff, i the he should be the sexiest man alive instead of Matthew whats-his-face because Hugh is actually got more than good looks and acting skills, he is an amazing musician and he wrote an award winning book.
I’m from argentina. I love house. It’s my favourite series of united estates. I love all cast.
