House is Right

You’ll Never Guess What Happened…

by Cory on May 3rd, 2006

Well, as I mentioned earlier, I had to watch this one on tape, because of a meeting for my daughter’s school. No, I didn’t forget to change the channel like last night. Instead, I got the wrong time. I didn’t notice that American Idol and House were flip-flopped, so our VCR started just in time to catch the closing credits.

Great googly-moogly! That DVR’s looking better and better.

Anyway, let’s turn this into a positive. I’m betting at least one of you saw the episodes, so…

How would you like to write the recap? Send your recap of either or both episodes to cory@b5media.com. I’ll select the best ones and post them here, OR I’ll assemble a medley from all submissions. A group recap if you will. Either way, your name (and a link of your choice) will be included in the post.

What do you say, readers? Give a guy a hand!

I won’t worry about the full recap. I’ll just comment. This 2-part series was great. The drama factor was huge for a few different reasons. We’ve connected with all the characters since the beginning and now we’re risking losing one of them. I honestly thought we might lose Foreman. His acting through the episode was impressive, the likes of which you’d probably expect to see on the silver screen. We cut through the core of the characters and look inside to who they are on the inside. The dynamic between Foreman and Cameron was fabulous. Looking into House having to deal with the potential of losing someone he truly cares about, but would never admit was impressive as well. What an episode!

Secondly, you MUST get a DVR. Specifically a TiVo, there’s nothing like them. I’ve currently got a TiVo and a Comcast DVR. The Comcast DVR doesn’t even come close except for the fact that it got more space and can record HD. I’ll be upgrading to a new TiVo Series 3 as soon as possible.

I think I can help you out. There was even a cliff hanger at the end.

All right, smart ass! How about trying your hand at a REAL recap. :)

    I will, I will. Don’t worry.

    For the highlights …

The mystery disease was an amoebic parasitic infection from the first patient’s illegal crop op (the first patient was a cop no less). Everyone learned it at once, but only after Cameron did a white matter brain biopsy.

So he got better, almost died of course, but there seem to be some lateral coordination brain effects. Crossing between left and right side coordination.

Great stuff with medical ethics, faith, and risk.

    Jason,
I didn’t realise TiVo was compatible with broadcast! I thought you had to be a cable or satallite subscriber to take advantage. I think I may have found the top item on my birthday list.

Absolutely, it’s interesting but TiVo is really “dumb” in the fact that it will work with whatever signal you pass through it! The only challenge is getting the guide information for non-broadcast fees so it can schedule the recording activity.

It looks like I can pass TiVo through my home wireless network. As long as it’s Mac compatible….

Yeah, any wireless network it will accept. I’m not sure if they’ve got the TivoToGo software available for Mac yet though, but it will connect to the network to grab network guide data and updates and other media tools.
