Jennifer Morrison In New Rob Schneider Movie
July 2, 2006 by Cory
Looks like Jennifer Morrison is stepping out… into what will certainly be crap. Our Dr. Cameron has signed on to Big Stan, directed by and starring Rob Schneider. I’m gonna say Morrison is just trying to stay humble. She doesn’t want all this Emmy nonsense going to her head. What else can explain the decision?
Now I’m sure Schneider made me laugh once or twice back on Saturday Night Live. And I really liked 50 First Dates, though it wasn’t on account of him. But seriously: Look at the list of crap he’s been in. Does the plot summary at IMDb give you any reason to think this will be different? Add to it, this is Schneider’s directorial debut. Suffice to say, no way in hell am I shelling out $9.75 to see this first run at the theater.

He won’t be winning any Oscars or whatever award is out there, but I find him funny. I’m a big fan of Adam Sandler. It’s the sort of thing you either like or you don’t, I suspect.
I’m all for a good dumb comedy, but “good” is the opperative word. Let’s look at those films which have been his to carry: Deuce Bigalow, The Animal, The Hot Chick, The Benchwarmers. That these films ever see the light of day only proves America suffers from an embarrassment of wealth and a decided lack of wisdom when it comes to spending it.
I don’t think we should even pretend that Jennifer Morrison is above doing Rob Schnider films. She took 10 days off to prepare for her role as herself…a mentally chanllenged person.
