What if There Was Mistletoe?

Here on the Entertainment Channel of b5media, we are doing a Winter Wonderland theme for December. That means that we all will write a post relating to the theme on our blogs, then tie them all together with one post linking to all the themed posts. Sounds confusing, but it’s not.

The theme is a little tough to tie to House, because even though the show is set in New Jersey, they don’t seem to show much snowy weather. I lived in New Jersey for three years, and snow was a fact of life in the winter. But, truthfully, it has little to do with the show itself, so it’s not that surprising.

However, on Tuesday, the House episode was entitled, “Merry Little Christmas.” It’s an ironic title, since it turned out to be anything but merry for House, the team or for the patient they were fighting to save.

House was furious with Wilson for making a deal on his behalf with Tritter. Cuddy cut him off from his meds so he started to detox. In true addict fashion, he tried everything to get his hands on more Vicodin, and ended up managing to hijack the meds of one of Wilson’s patients that had already died. He then proceeded to nearly overdose on the medication. When he sobered up, he went to Tritter to take the deal, only to find that his antics to get the dead patient’s meds had backfired and the deal was off.

And to top it all off, when Tritter told him of the fact that he would be charged, he then told House “Merry Christmas.” (That scumbag!!)

And now we have to wait until January 7 to find out how it all turns out. Personally, I’ll be happy to see the Tritter story line end, it’s gotten tedious and from the comments you have been leaving, you feel the same way.

Anyway, on a lighter note, what if the staff of the hospital had a holiday party and there was mistletoe hanging prominently there? Who would you expect to see take advantage of it?

Cameron, who always goes for the damaged or broken men would certainly want to make a play for House, since at the moment, he’s at what may be an all-time personal low.

On the other hand, the spoilers have been hinting that Cuddy & House will go on a date, and she will ask him how he feels about her. Perhaps House & Cuddy would enjoy the mistletoe, then go off to make that baby she’s been wanting…

Then there’s Chase and his thinly veiled feelings for Cameron. He might try to console her under the mistletoe. Or just stand to the side and grouse about her with House.

Wilson would hopefully find someone to meet under the mistletoe, it shouldn’t be that hard, the guy’s attractive, caring and he’s a doctor, for cripes sake!! I’d like to see Wilson find someone. He’s just so forlorn by himself. What if he suddenly decided that he cares for Cuddy and he and House end up having to compete for her?

Then there’s Foreman. Will he be there with the same nurse he went away to jazz festival with, or will he be with someone else? (After all, Omar Epps is one of People’s sexiest men…)

What if we all got the shock of our lives and Tritter paired up with Wilson? Maybe that’s why Wilson was ok with making the deal with him? Ok…I’m just kidding on that one… ;-)
