House 4.15 – House’s Head – Director Interview
May 11, 2008 by Lynn
Part one of the two-part season finale, House’s Head was directed by Greg Yaitanes. Here, he talks about how they planned the special effects, why they used a storyboard to plan all the shots ahead of time and all the special equipment and stage setup needed for the action shots in the episode. It seems that House regains consciousness in a strip club, but doesn’t know how he got there. Then, he realizes that he was in a bus accident.
It’s a pretty long clip, nearly six minutes, but well worth watching to get a good idea of just what was involved in creating the episode. The cast and crew are not used to filming action shots, since the show normally just takes place in a hospital. I love hearing how they put it all together and can’t wait to see the finished episode tomorrow night!!

It was a distinct pleasure hearing the director, Greg Yaitanes, share how and what went into this upcoming episode. So much so that I will make sure to record it and share it with my friends.
House continues to be one of the best dramatic series on “free” TV. People like Greg Yaitanes are the reason why! We’re proud of you in Massachusetts, Greg!
Their media player sucks! It buffered every 10 seconds. YouTube never does that.
