Episode 5.09: Last Resort
Air Date: November 25, 2008

Here’s the review of all the spoilers for tonight’s episode of House, Last Resort. I even have the first three minutes for you to enjoy now:

Spoiler: HOUSE executive producer Katie Jacobs directs an all-new extended episode, guest-starring recent Emmy Award winner Zeljko Ivanek. A man (guest star Ivanek) willing to kill – or die – for a diagnosis takes House, Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) and several patients from the hospital waiting room hostage in Cuddy’s office. With one person shot, other patients needing medical attention, Thirteen being used as a guinea pig and the SWAT team closing in, House is determined to end the standoff the only way he knows how: by coming up with the right diagnosis. Press Release:
HOUSE AND THIRTEEN ARE TAKEN HOSTAGE BY A MAN WILLING TO KILL FOR A DIAGNOSIS ON “HOUSE” TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, ON FOX

Zeljko Ivanek (“Damages”) Guest-Stars

Episode Directed by HOUSE Executive Producer Katie Jacobs

A gun-wielding man from the waiting room at the Princeton-Plainsboro clinic takes House, Thirteen and several patients from the waiting room hostage in Cuddy’s office. The man claims to be sick with a long undiagnosed illness and demands medical attention from the best doctor in the hospital, threatening to kill any hostages necessary along the way. With a room full of already sick patients, House must use them as guinea pigs to assure the hostage-taker that the medications he is administering to him are legitimate. As Cuddy and the rest of House’s team communicate with House over the phone to run tests and offer possible diagnoses, they ponder the possibility that the hostage-taker has nothing physically wrong with him and that everyone in Cuddy’s office could wind up dead. With one hostage already shot, Thirteen wagers her own already diminished health as she simultaneously receives the experimental treatments the hostage is receiving. Her life lies in danger as House’s own determination to diagnose the hostage-taker threatens to thwart the SWAT team’s plan to put an end to the standoff in the “Last Resort” episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, Nov. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/ PT) on FOX.

Jesse Spencer & Louise Griffiths at Screening

November 21, 2008 by Lynn

Here are some photos taken recently of Jesse Spencer and his girlfriend Louise Griffiths when they attended the screening of The Wrestler as part of the AFI Fest 2008 Centerpiece Gala at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

My first reaction is that he looks so incredibly happy these days. They must be very good for each other. I’m happy for them.

Jennifer Morrison at Domino Tournament

November 20, 2008 by Lynn

First of all, what a fun idea to hold a domino tournament as a charity event. I spent last weekend at a dodgeball tournament for charity and dominos seem much better!!

Here are some photos of Jennifer Morrison at the event benefiting the Art of Elysium on November 9. I love the dress! But I think she went a little crazy with the curling iron because the curls kept getting in her face. (Haven’t we all had that experience?)

Full Length Star Trek Movie Trailer

November 19, 2008 by Lynn

They have just released the full length movie trailer for the upcoming new Star Trek movie. Why should this be of interest to House fans? Because it’s about the young Jim Kirk and House’s Jennifer Morrison plays his mother. I bet there are a lot of guys who think she’d be a very hot mom! ;-)

I didn’t spot her in the trailer, but with the scenes flashing so fast, I may have missed her. (Please let me know if you see Jennifer in the clip.) The movie won’t open in theaters until May of 2009, but it looks like a must-see!

Hugh Laurie attended the 17th Annual British Academy of Film & Television Arts/Los Angeles Britannia Awards (BAFTA/LA Britannia) on November 6 in Los Angeles. I found three especially wonderful photos that were taken of him at the event. I hope you enjoy them:

Lisa Edelstein & Her Dog Celebrated

November 18, 2008 by Lynn

Here are some really cute photos of Lisa Edelstein with her dog at the 15th Annual Lint Roller Party presented by the Best Friends Animal Society recently. Her dog is so cute that he almot doesn’t look real. And he (or she) must be very well-behaved to stay in that bag and go with her. I love that she’s an animal lover!
