Apparently, there will be changes in the Princeton-Plainsboro dynamics caused by House’s time in the hospital. It looks like things will be different after House gets back. Oh, I expect grouchiness about this… ;-)

And if you’ve been wondering about the Chase/Cameron wedding, it may not play that heavily into the day-to-day at the hospital at all. Here are some spoilers from Michael Ausiello at EW that explain it all:

Question: Any House scoop, other than the prolongation of Huddy after House leaves the loony bin? Translation: Why should non-Huddy fans tune in to House next season? –Luke

Ausiello: Because the Princeton Plainsboro that House left in the season finale will not be the same one he returns to next fall. And admit it, you’re dying to know how it’ll be different. “How [the hospital] works when he comes back will be different,” teases exec producer Katie Jacobs. “A doctor can’t check into a mental institution and just walk back into his job like nothing happened. We will not start forsaking reality. This [story] will have consequences.”

Question: How much of Cameron and Chase’s home life will we see next season on House? –Diane

Ausiello: Not much, according to Katie Jacobs. “I don’t know that we will show any more of their private lives than we have anyone else’s. The hospital stuff is first and foremost for us and everything we show furthers those story lines. I don’t think lovey-dovey, at-home relations is what people watch our show for.”

I’m curious about what they’re planning for Chase/Cameron now that they married them together and now they said that… I really hope they get more screentime this season (although I don’t really believe it will happen)

  2. Andrea says:

I would like to see more nurses involved in the plots as respected members of the team. To the producers, directors, and writers – I realize this is just a TV show, just for entertainment, and the writing is so spectacular that I’d continue watching even if you made no changes at all. I might make one minor suggestion though. If you are trying to portray some sense of reality, doctors order tests and treatments but very rarely, if ever, actually administer those treatments or tests. Those things are always done by nurses. Most of the time doctors don’t even know how to draw blood, let alone administer any IV medications or anything like that. Why not portray nurses realistically, as active and valued members of the team? For example you could bring Bobbin Bergstrom more to the front – I know she plays a nurse. I’m so addicted to this show that I would watch it simply for the entertainment value, even if you don’t make major changes, but still as a nurse myself, I’d rather see the role of a nurse portrayed much more realistically than it is now on House. Maybe we’ll see more of that during the 2 hour season 6 premiere, when House is in the hospital. I hope so.

  3. Greg says:

Andrea: I think they portray the nurses the way they do because what would be left for the team to do? Just discuss their differentials?
But still your point is valid. However, as you’ve mentioned: it’s part of the show’s dynamics.

it’s great to see chase and cameron married…it would be great if house’s new season will show more of their screentime especially the romantic one:p

  5. Greg says:

The following is pure speculation, but I thought I’d share this with you. If you look at the last 4 episodes of season 5 there are some hints as to what might b up. Well, Amber is/seems to be part of Houses’ subconscious. If he accesses that part of his brain he’s able to solve his cases. The key to this are small details House might notice. As a focal point he sometimes (or most of the time) relies on his Vicodin. The color of the bottles: Amber! But in reality he still wants to keep his abilities while getting rid of the drugs. His goal is getting rid of the misery and his pain to finally be happy.
Some say, there are parallels to Kutner. Kutner wasn’t his real name, that’s why he might have been a troubled personality finding no place to fit in. The new name gave him the illusion to be someone he’s not – in effect causing his pain to be buried deeper which led to more pain. Didn’t Amber say something like: “So this is the story you made up about who you are. It’s a nice one,” to which a hallucination of Kutner adds “Too bad it isn’t true.”
So this leaves more room for speculation… I wonder where this might lead and if I’m right…

  6. Grace says:

Greg, Sorry, but I don’t know where you’re going with this.

  7. Greg says:

Grace: It’s just my own way to think. It’s hard to explain – same way House can’t really explain how his mind works.
What I’m getting at with the Kutner reference was this: There are assumtions that a close family friend is the true biological father of House. Consider this: What if House isn’t his true name? It’s just his because him mom and her husband decided to stick to their own family name. Only point is: Did the guy who raised Gregory know he wasn’t his true father???
It’s just wild speculation after reading the episode transscripts I found online. My mind jus jumped to these conclusions because part of my brain read between the lines.

  8. davis says:

i would like to see cameron falling for house all over again

  9. Courtney says:

Woah. WOAH! Katie Jacobs got it all wrong! Don’t we all (all us Chameron fans, anyways…) want to see some lovey-dovey Chameron moments?

If I were gonna go off the deep end…. and I mean REALLY off. I would take a particular point in the latter of the series, whether it was the S4 finale, or the motorcycle accident, but we find out that most of what we saw after those events, never happened. It would make sense really. I mean look at the fever pitch in of the hallucinations and the multiple story arks that all came about, a number of them collided all at once. This is not how a linear story would take place realistically. I am willing to bet that the whole “plainsboro will be different” will be because he has actually been unconscious the whole time. The only theory I can think of that makes sense. And for those who talk about the upcoming psych interview as part of the premiere. What better way to “bring house back” then pairing him up against a psychologist.. something that would NOT naturally happen. It will force him to realize something is wrong.

Some of the comments kind of provoked some thoughts that I had come to after the 2nd season. I actually didn’t watch House as much after season 2 because of all the outrageous cases and some of the character developement.

I think there have been a few themes from season 1 that maybe starting to tie together. I mean the final season just cant be the same ol’ same old. The next to last episode of season 1 explained what made House the way he is today. Cuddy made the call to do w/e to his leg, and it caused the whole drama with his ex-wife/girlfriend. Another clearly visible theme is House’s facination with believing that their is not a good.

When one of the other posters stated that maybe most of what has happened has been a dream, it really got me thinking how cool of a season ender or opener that would be to have house wake up from the surgery or coma that he was put in after his leg.

House seems to always want to change or prove that people always lie, but most of the episodes prove him wrong. I just feel that either their being a drastic change in his character would end the show well, or some crazy awsome dream state he has been in. I know I ramble a bit, but just wanted to post on some of the thoughts I had after reading some posts here and at a few other sites.
