On Tuesday, I have the wonderful opportunity to participate in a conference call interview with Robert Sean Leonard who plays Wilson on House. Since i won’t be the only one on the call doing the interviewing, I’ll only get the chance to ask 2-3 questions, but I want to be sure they are the ones you, my terrific readers, want me to ask!
We’ve done this before, you all leaving messages to tell me what you want to know the most from the House cast member and I do my best to use the most popular questions in my portion of the interview. It seems only fair that if you come to this site for your information about the show and its cast that I let you help out with the interviews. That way, we all win!
So before Tuesday, if you have questions you would like for me to ask of Robert Sean Leonard, please leave them as a comment on this post. Then, I’ll do my best on your behalf!

I watch this show for Wilson and Wilson alone. But I do admit that House/Wilson intrigues me. What are the chances of House and Wilson taking their bromance to the next level, or at least hugging?
While hanging out on the windowsill in my kitchen, I sometimes surf the web and find out some really interesting stuff about the actors who work on my favorite show, “House.” But while reading Doris Egan’s tweets one day, I stumbled across something that broke my heart, so I have to ask you:
What’s so special about banana cream pie, anyway? Why not just go for a banana pudding and leave the crust to worthier pastries?
I await your sincere reply.
Another question!
Any chance for Wilson to demostrate some musical skills? (RSL sings, people!)
- I’ve heard Hugh Laurie auditioned for the part of Wilson. Did you audition for any other parts as well?
- You’ve said that you want to get away from TV and movie roles eventually and go back to the stage. Why do you prefer starring in plays?
- Who’s the funniest person on set, be it actor or crew member, and what’s the funniest thing they’ve done/said?
One more question:
Will House ever meet Wilsons brother.
I never said people “should not be allowed to ask about Hilson.” I also should be free to express my opinion, which is what I did and will continue to do.
I still hope you are able to ask RSL how he feels about the constant cast shakeups.
Do you have any plans to resume your theatre work during House breaks? And if so will you be heading for New York to do so?
Somehow questions I’ve sent didn’t appear in comments, so, trying once more
1. Will his part in “Wilson” be, to a certain extent, solo? (I mean, Wilson, taking the leading role during the course of the episode, diagnosing, making decisions) And, if so, does RSL think it is necessary for Wilson at all, will it help to reveal new traits of his character, or Wilson’s character streaks are shown better (or maybe even the best) through his constant interaction with House on everyday basis?
2. RSL’s attitude towards the celebrity-thing (that he is world-famous now), and does it differ (and if yes, to what extent) from Hugh Laurie’s
3. Looks like House and Wilson have similar tastes in food. Was it writers’ idea, or is it result of both actors preferring the same kinds of food and “giving” this trait to their characters?
3a. Is there any little things (or big ones) in friendship and interaction between House and Wilson, which came from real-life interaction between Robert Sean Leonard and Hugh Laurie?
3b. Everybody asks Hugh about how different (or similar) is his character to him, so, I have the same question to Robert. How similar (or different) is Wilson to him (with examples, if possible)?
4. While shooting 6×07, were they living in “LAresort”, or only working there?
5. It is known that RSL plays guitar. Is there any chance to see him playing it as Wilson? Maybe in a kind of jam-session with House?
6. And, yes, I join to those ones who’s asking about more photoshoots of RSL, and more interviews
7. It’hardly possible to play character for such a long time with such quality of acting, passion, understanding of Wilson’s motives, which drive him and make him act one way or another, not loving Wilson. But, were there any moments in storylines, where RSL was disagree with Wilson’s behaviour or decisions he made? For example, his attitude towards House sometimes.
Thanks a lot for your offer, Lynn! Hope this conference won’t be a waste, and we’ll get some interesting information from him (RSL very rarely gives interviews, and if questions are not interesting for him to answer, he simply jokes or makes sarcastic remarks (which are also fun to listen, of course))
congratulations on the opportunity to talk to RSL!
Here are my questions:
What is a normal day in the life of RSL like?
Are you returning to movies anytime soon?
Who is your favorite character on the show?
What are you reading?
1) How’s the baby?
2) Wilson rarely touches people in a non-medical way. It’s true of his interactions with all the characters (although he did once touch Cuddy’s back), but he and House are so physically attuned to each, it’s really apparent in that relationship. They cross their legs in unison. They walk down the hall in perfect sync, adjusting and switching sides when they turn a corner, but there’s always a couple of inches between them.
Was making Wilson so physically isolated a deliberate choice? If so, what was the reason for this?
What’s the deal with RSL and banana cream pie? And why do the writers run away from him with children in tow when he eating it?
What do you think about the “write off” Jennifer Morrison? What’s happen now?
What do you think about Huddy? Seltz again?
Now, what’s happen to Wilson? and what’s happen about his bromance with House? Will survive?
Will Wilson have a new girl? if yes, When and who? Cuddy?
a kiss from Italy!
bye bye
I forgot to bring this up, I don’t recall it until I saw “It is Sunny” said about it.. since we know that Hugh, Robert AND Jess could sing(and much more musical’s talent.) would there be a chance that, they would perform it on the show? since, well, Hugh had played piano in the show.. and kinda sing a bit.. will any other characters (eg. Wilson and Chase) perform it as well? (This idea kinda stuck into me for a while since I’ve read some stories about House, Wilson and Chase performing in hospital charity night or something like that.. )
Will WE ever see Wilson’s brother??
What about Wilson have you seen changed over the years, from season one to now?
I look forward to your interview with Robert Sean Leonard. His friendship with House is, to me, one of the most fascinating aspects of their show.
His kindness to patients and his attempts to make House see where he is wrong is very endearing. I hope Robert enjoys his part as Wilson.
Just ask him if he is happy and if he thinks Cameron will come back.
Thank you.
