Kristin at E! Online gives us some inside scoop on what to expect to happen with the various relationships on House in season 6. There’s a bit of Huddy & Hameron info from Lisa Edelstein, some Foreman scoopage from Omar Epps and some teaser info about who will take over the diagnostic team in House’s absence…Cuddy perhaps?
Martin in Hackensack, N.J.: Any word on who will be in charge while House is in the mental institution?
Executive producer David Shore tells us, “We are going to have some fun with who is going to be running the diagnostics department. We’re not bringing in anyone new right now, so it’s going to be somebody you know.”
Andy in Long Beach, Calif.: What’s the Huddy scoop for the next season of House?
We asked Lisa Edelstein if she’d be visiting House in the mental hospital, to which she replied, “I hope so, unless he doesn’t want to see her.” When it comes down to it, she is rooting for Huddy to be together, but not in the way you’d expect. Says Edelstein, “I love that storyline, but not together together. I just like the torture of it all.” And for you Hameron fans, Lisa sets the record straight on if she wants to see House with Cameron? “No! Are you kidding?”
Aaron in Rancho Bernardo, Calif.: Any good news for fans of Foreteen on House?
Not likely. As Omar Epps explains, trouble at work may equal trouble for Foreteen. Says Epps, “Knowing the rhythm of our show, [their relationship] is going to progress into a brick wall.” [Source: E! Online]
Lisa Edelstein Talks About House Season 6
July 6, 2009 by Lynn
Here’s a revealing clip with Lisa Edelstein telling us what she liked most about the season 5 finale of House. She thinks it’s great that the Huddy hook-up was a hallucination and she gives two reasons why. I agree! It leaves a lot to still look forward to!
Lisa goes on to tell us what she has learned about the medical field from working on the show and how it has changed the way she can talk to doctors in the real world.
House Presentation at the Paley Center

There’s a very comprehensive play-by-play account of the evening’s House discussion at the Paley Center last night at The Futon Critic, so I won’t re-write the entire thing. I do encourage you to go read the entire account. It’s wonderful.
I do want to share a couple of my favorite quotes from the evening, though. This first one is Hugh Laurie’s trademark wit:
When asked about House’s trip to the loony bin at the end of this season. “It’s all drawn heavily on my personal life,” Hugh quips.
SPOILER ALERT!!
Here’s a quote from David Shore about the beginning of season 6:
When asked why the season premiere will pick up shortly after the finale wrapped instead of the usual three month or so gap: “We don’t want to shake things up for the sake of shaking things up,” David says. “We just want to keep exploring this character… we’re just seeing where his life progresses and where it goes. And the end of last year obviously we did something that felt natural and real to me but is very extreme and we want to be as true to that as we can and follow up on that. So we are doing, Katie’s going to be directing a two-hour season premiere, which is basically a movie which basically follows House through that institution. And it takes place over a much longer period of time than we’re used to. And [it's about] his life in there, his search for getting better.”
And this quote is for the Huddy fans. To me, it’s hard to imagine House & Cuddy not having that chemistry, but here’s what David Shore said about it:
When asked about when the Cuddy/House ball started rolling: “Very early on,” David says. “No matter what we wrote, the two of them had this odd sexual tension. And that’s been something we’ve been nurturing and trying to explore from day one.” As for their imaginary hook-up: “I think it was significant even though it turned out not to be real. It was very significant - we got an insight into House’s subconscious.”
There’s also some of what was said to the press at The Press Association. My favorite quote from this aricle is from Lisa Edelstein:
“He’s a sexy man, he’s eight feet tall, his eyes are like ice blue, he’s extremely intelligent, really talented, what’s not sexy about Hugh Laurie?!”
I agree with her completely! Now I absolutely can’t wait for Season 6 to begin!!!
House Cast Members at Paley Center
June 18, 2009 by Lynn
Along with Hugh Laurie, the Paley Center had some of the other House cast members appear last night to talk about the creative process for the show.
Here are some photos of Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps and Robert Sean Leonard from the event. RSL rarely makes appearances, so it’s a real pleasure to find photos of him there too!

Happy Birthday, Lisa Edelstein!

The beautiful star of House, Lisa Edelstein celebrates her 42nd birthday today. Personally, I think she looks amazing, and much younger than her years.
House: More Cast Members Talk About S5 Finale
May 10, 2009 by Lynn
Here are the rest of the House cast members telling their takes on the last portion of the 5th season of House. (With the obvious exception of Robert Sean Leonard. I wish he would do more of these types of things.)
House star Omar Epps tells us how it felt to film the scene with Kutner’s death. Then he gives us his view of the Foreteen relationship…very interesting! And I love how he discusses House’s addiction and drug use history. I think you’ll enjoy this clip:
And here, Lisa Edelstein tells us what she thinks Cuddy’s role was when Kutner died. She also addresses House’s emotional crisis and the relationship between House & Cuddy.

Interview: Lisa Edelstein Says Hugh Laurie is a Good Kisser!
May 4, 2009 by Lynn

I finally got the entire conference call interview with House star Lisa Edelstein ready for you. As you’ll see when you read it, she was as funny and lively as ever, but had to be a bit guarded about the storylines and the Huddy relationship in general.
I was both thrilled and surprised to get to ask my questions first. (You all had such great questions!! Thanks!!) I actually cheated, since they told us we were only allowed one or two questions. But thenkfully, they didn’t scold me, since I tried to frame it that some questions were from you readers and one was from me.
I hope you enjoy it:
L. DeVries: I did something kind of fun and I posted the question for my readers, asking them to let me know what they wanted you to tell them the most. The number one thing my readers want to know is about the House and Cuddy hookup scene. They want to know what it was like to film a sex scene with a long-time colleague and they also want to know if he was a good kisser.
Lisa Edelstein: [laughs] It was great. I wouldn’t complain.
L. DeVries: How many takes did you have to do to get it right?
L. Edelstein: We did probably about five takes. Yes, probably about five takes. We didn’t really do it for that long, but it was more a question of making sure the cameras wanted to capture a lot of different things. But you know, I have a great friendship with Hugh and he’s super sexy, so who could complain about kissing him?
L. DeVries: Really. Rough duty.
L. Edelstein: Yes. Exactly.
L. DeVries: Now here’s a personal question I want to know. How much of Cuddy is a result of the writing and directing and how much of the character is your creation?
L. Edelstein: I think initially it’s, of course, just the writers and then eventually you sink into the character, aspects of your personality that suit the character start to shine and the writers become inspired by the Cuddy that you portray. That takes over the Cuddy that they originally have in their minds, so it’s really a marriage of the two.
L. DeVries: You have a huge fan base and they’re all begging for you to get involved in Twitter. Do you think you will?
L. Edelstein: No. [laughs]
L. DeVries: Oh, darn.
L. Edelstein: I don’t understand Twitter at all.
M. Mitovitch [TV Guide]: So, was the sex good?

I have a wonderful opportunity to take part in a conference call interview with House star Lisa Edelstein who plays Cuddy on Friday. So here’s your chance. Between now and Friday morning, leave a comment on this post with the questions you want me to ask Lisa during the interview.

FOX and House Stars Go Green for Earth Day
April 14, 2009 by Lynn
Again this year, FOX is supporting efforts to help the environment. They have even created an entire mini web site to showcase green tips and video clips of FOX stars talking about ways to help the environment. As you are probably expecting, the House stars were on board with the effort. Some of the clips with House stars were used last year, but it never hurts to be reminded of the good ideas and fans of the show who didn’t see them last year can enjoy them now.
Here, Lisa Edelstein talks to us about the virtues of recycling:
Omar Epps gives us the scoop about batteries and how we can help the environment by not letting them go into landfills:

OMG, OMG, OMG!! A Lead Character is Going to Die on House!!
March 20, 2009 by Lynn

[Photo: © 2009 FOX Broadcasting Co.]
I just read this an nearly had a heart attack! According to the spoiler gurus, there will be a death of one of the lead characters on House before the season ends! I am so bewildered about who it can be and upset at the possibilities! First, Here are the spoilers from the various sources.
Kristin at E! Online gives us this:
A main character will die this season.
This is the news I’m now hearing from reliable sources on House, that one of the cast members will be written out before the current season ends.
And trust me, it will shock the pants off of you. (Assuming you are wearing pants.)
So who will it be?
Obviously, we can’t come right out and report who will die because that would spoil a major plotpoint that will serve as the climax of the season. And honestly, it is far too good to spoil!
However, I can tell you:
- It’s not the most likely candidate–not by a longshot.
- It’s not someone who has been rumored to be leaving.
- It is someone who will shock you.
- How it happens will take you completely by surprise.
- There is no lead up to this death, it just…happens.
As House boss Katie Jacobs told us recently: “I think our cast will look pretty much the same next season.” The emphasis there is on pretty much, and it’s my understanding that it will be just one cast member to leave. Everyone else will be back in the fall. [Source: E! Online]
And not to be outdone, Michael Ausiello at EW gives us this:
