Episode 6.13 – Moving the Chains
Air Date: February 1, 2010
Tonight’s episode of House was fantastic! I nearly died laughing when Wilson found the opossum in the bathtub! LOL! And I loved getting to see Foreman’s brother on the show.
The episode was so cool; I thought we could discuss it a bit. Here are some of the things that I enjoyed about the episode and some things that made me think.
It was fun to think that House and Wilson had gone back to their pranking behavior. It takes us back to …read more
Will There Be a House Spin-Off After All?
January 27, 2010 by Lynn

It seems that the “Powers That Be” at FOX have given House executive producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs a standing order for a House spin-off. They originally thought they would do a series using Lucas, the quirky private investigator, but they didn’t feel that the character worked on its own.
So now they are thinking about possible scenarios for a second show. The plan is to have the second show produced by them follow House in the 9 PM time slot. They can’t ask for a better lead series, right?
My thought is that they have …read more
House: What Was the Most Surprising Plot Twist So Far in S6?
December 30, 2009 by Lynn
With everyone else creating their “best of”, “worst of” and “most memorable” lists of 2009, I thought we House fans could take a different approach. We all know we love the show. And we all know we love the actors who star in the show. So let’s get down to the real knitty-gritty about things so far in season 6, shall we?
There have been some very fun and some downright crazy plot twists so far this season and I’ve enjoyed every one so far. But I think it would be fun to find out what each of …read more
Jennifer Morrison: Will She Return, or Won’t She?
November 17, 2009 by Lynn

Sadly, even Jennifer Morrison doesn’t know if her character Cameron will return to Princeton-Plainsboro. The House producers don’t tell the cast ahead of time anything about the story lines, so even Jennifer has to wait to find out if she’s been fired. That seems rather unfair. Here’s a bit from E! about it:
And what’s the truth about various reports that she’s either still a regular or that she might do guest star visits later this season? Answers Morrison, “I’m still a series regular, technically. I really don’t know. All I know is that I …read more
House: Deleted Scene From ‘Brave Heart’
November 4, 2009 by Lynn
Bravo! to Andrea for the heads up about this clip! It’s a deleted scene fromthe House episode, Brave Heart.
It shows House remembering some happy times with his father! That’s very cool! We’ve only seen him talk about his father like he was horrible. I wish they had left this in the episode!
Check this clip out, then I’d like to know what you think about it. Should it have stayed in the episode to give us more valuable back story on our favorite doctor? Or do you think they were right to take it out, since it didn’t add to the …read more

The Most Thoroughly Disappointing Three Days for a House Fan…

First of all, I have to apologize to you all for just now letting you know. I was just so disappointed on Friday afternoon when, after several times rescheduling the Hugh Laurie, Katie Jacobs interview, my contact at FOX (he’s terrific, it’s not his fault!) sent out this email message:
Due to a last minute change in the production schedule, we have to cancel the HOUSE conference call. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to reschedule something in the near future.
I was so bummed out that I instantly called …read more

House is Right regular reader Grace was wonderful to let me know about a great article covering one of the real-life inspirations for the character of Dr. Greg House. (Thanks, Grace!)
Her name is Dr Lisa Sanders and she just released a new book that talks all about the mysteries of diagnosis. The book is entitled Diagnosis: Dispatches from the Frontlines of Medical Mysteries and just might be an interesting read while we’re waiting for the new season to begin.
Dr. Sanders is 53, is from Connecticut and has been one of the medical advisors for House since it first …read more
House is Right About White Lab Coats!

Many thanks to House is Right reader Grace for calling my attention to an article about a recent AMA recommendation to ban the wearing of white coats by doctors. And today’s House-ism just seemed like the perfect tie-in for the article in Slate Magazine that tells us this:
The American Medical Association voted Tuesday on a resolution that would recommend hospitals ban doctors’ iconic white lab coats, citing evidence that the garment contributes to the spread of infection.
So, go figure, House really was Right!!
There are actually several reasons that the medical community is divided …read more
What Do You Think of Last Night’s House Episode?
May 12, 2009 by Lynn

I never watch TV shows right when they air. It’s one of the things that happen when I want to watch several that air at the same time. (I love my TiVo.) So when I got to finally watch last night’s House episode, I got to thinking about it in a big way. Then I started to wonder what all of you thought about it.
First of all, it’s interesting that one of the unusual illnesses I talked about recently was discussed as one of the possible diagnoses for the POTW. For a while, …read more
