Part one of the two-part season finale, House’s Head was directed by Greg Yaitanes. Here, he talks about how they planned the special effects, why they used a storyboard to plan all the shots ahead of time and all the special equipment and stage setup needed for the action shots in the episode. It seems that House regains consciousness in a strip club, but doesn’t know how he got there. Then, he realizes that he was in a bus accident.
It’s a pretty long clip, nearly six minutes, but well worth watching to get a good idea of just what was involved in creating the episode. The cast and crew are not used to filming action shots, since the show normally just takes place in a hospital. I love hearing how they put it all together and can’t wait to see the finished episode tomorrow night!!

Here’s a real treat! This is a clip of Jim Vickers, the Stunt Coordinator for the bus accident in the two-part House season finale, where he tells how he sets up the shot and how he makes sure all the actors are safe. It looks like a pretty tough job to oversee the creation of the rig, rehearse all the variables and make it all look real. Very cool!

Here’s a fascinating video released by FOX that shows how they did the special effects for the bus accident in the two-part season finale of House. You have to check out the giant contraption they created to simulate the inside of the bus. And then they roll it over and all the people inside go tumbling to the bottom. (Yikes! Doesn’t look like a fun day of work to me!) ;-)

Recently, I showed you that Schweppes TV Commercial for Spain that starred Hugh Laurie. But now there’s a print ad for them too. Here’s the ad, and doesn’t he look fabulous? (And check out the signature on the bottom.) It almost makes me want to go out and buy a Schweppes… This just proves that he’s a super-star all over the world. Go, Hugh!

Here are some great photos of our man, Hugh Laurie taken when he attended the 12th Annual PRISM Awards in Beverly Hills on April 24. The awards reflect the entertainment industry’s commitment to the accurate depiction of addiction and mental health issues. I was previously unaware of the Prism Awards, but now that I have been made aware, I think it’s a very good effort. And I like it that Hugh is interested in it.
Doesn’t he look good in the close-up? But I can’t help thinking that he looks vey uncomfortable in the suit. He looks great in it, but it’s obvious that he would rather be in jeans and that leather jacket…

That’s right, House fans, Hugh Laurie was voted by TV Guide to be TV’s Sexiest Curmudgeon. I would have to totally agree, but I think he’s also the sexiest Brit playing an American, the sexiest TV Doc, the sexiest leading actor in a TV drama…..the list goes on! ;-)
Here’s the list of all the nominees in the category:
SEXIEST CURMUDGEON
- Simon Cowell, American Idol
- Brian Darling, Dirty Sexy Money
- Leroy Gibbs, NCIS
- Len Goodman, Dancing with the Stars
- Dr. Greg House, House — Winner
Congratulations, Hugh!!

House: House’s Head
Air Date: May 12, 2008
FOX just released these photos of the upcoming episode entitled House’s Head. We’ve been given the word that House suffers some sort of memory loss in a bus accident, but it’s still unclear if he remembers anything, or has just forgotten the evets leading up to the accidient or what. But I’m guessing he just has a period of memory loss and still has his long-term memory, otherwise, how could he be treating patients in this episode?
This photo has the caption, “House (Hugh Laurie, C) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard, L) try to diagnose the driver of a bus that was in a serious accident.” (But check out that dirty look he’s giving the bus driver! LOL!)
