Again this year, FOX is supporting efforts to help the environment. They have even created an entire mini web site to showcase green tips and video clips of FOX stars talking about ways to help the environment. As you are probably expecting, the House stars were on board with the effort. Some of the clips with House stars were used last year, but it never hurts to be reminded of the good ideas and fans of the show who didn’t see them last year can enjoy them now.

Here’s a fun little FOX promotional clip with bits from most of the FOX network shows in it. There’s a cute shot of Hugh Laurie, one of Omar Epps, one with Olivia Wilde and one with Peter Jacobson & Kal Penn. It’s a fun little clip and it’s amazing to me how much they can pack into 30 seconds…

This week, I was able to take part in a conference call interview with House Executive Producer, Katie Jacobs. She gave some insight into the Huddy relationship and tells us more of what we can expect to see with the characters this season. We also get a bit of information about the possible Private Investigator spinoff… Here’s what was discussed:

At the beginning of season 4 of House, the official FOX web site had the names of the finalists for House’s team on the site. At that time, they showed Olivia Wilde’s character’s name as “Remy Hadley.”
After the cast started to call her Thirteen, they took her character’s real name off the site and let her go by Thirteen for the rest of the season. The only hint at her real name was when Cuddy called her Dr. Hadley.

OK, Tonight’s episode just ended, and I’d give it a B-minus. Hugh was in about a half dozen skits, and while I wasn’t taking notes, here are my thoughts.

I suspect he wrote his own monologue, and it suffered a little cross-cultural confusion. He told a Shakespeare joke that went completely over the head of the audience including me.
The highlight was his protect song on guitar and harmonica. Sing with me: “All we have to do is mmm… mmm… mmm….”
Other skits he was in: a gassy ghost hunter, and the head villager trying to kill Frankenstein’s monster. These were both pretty …read more
