As always, Hugh Laurie was so witty and wonderful when he appeared on the Tonight Show last night. He talked about his first “Christmas among the palm trees” and the fact that Stephen Fry joined them for Christmas, as he has for the past 20 years. And who knew that Christmas was orginally a pagan knitwear festival….? There’s a cute flub when he talks about Stephen…so fun.

If you were unfortunate enough to miss last night’s Tonight Show, here’s the fantastic performance by Band From TV, including Hugh Laurie & Jesse Spencer. They played Will it Go ‘Round in Circles.
First of all, I’ve always loved the song anyway, and they really did a great job with it!! The beginning has Jesse on the violin, immediately followed by Hugh on the piano and with the first part of the vocals. I loved this interview, just like all the other Hugh interviews. He talked about his desire to drive across America on his motorcycle and describes what it’s like having a bodyguard at times. And who is with me in hoping he wins the Emmy this Sunday?
