Will There Be a House Spin-Off After All?

It seems that the “Powers That Be” at FOX have given House executive producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs a standing order for a House spin-off. They originally thought they would do a series using Lucas, the quirky private investigator, but they didn’t feel that the character worked on its own.
So now they are thinking about possible scenarios for a second show. The plan is to have the second show produced by them follow House in the 9 PM time slot. They can’t ask for a better lead series, right?
My thought is that they have …read more
House Cast at FOX Winter TCA Party
January 13, 2010 by Lynn
I just found some more photos from Monday’s FOX press events. These are some photos of the four House cast members that attended. Lisa Edelstein wore a dress I am torn about. I can’t decide if I like it or not. But, as usual, Olivia Wilde was fabulous. And House executive producer Katie Jacobs looked cute.
I do like it that Peter Jacobson smiled and seemed to be having fun, but for some reason, Jesse Spencer seems to be allergic to smiles for cameras. What’s with that?

First of all, I have to apologize to you all for just now letting you know. I was just so disappointed on Friday afternoon when, after several times rescheduling the Hugh Laurie, Katie Jacobs interview, my contact at FOX (he’s terrific, it’s not his fault!) sent out this email message:
Due to a last minute change in the production schedule, we have to cancel the HOUSE conference call. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to reschedule something in the near future.
I was so bummed out that I instantly called …read more

I have so many things I want to know about season 6 of House, but don’t want to be selfish about it. I also want to ask some of the questions you want to know about too!

Revelations About House Season 6 from FOX All-Star Party
August 7, 2009 by Lynn
At Wednesday night’s FOX All-Star Party, House creator & executive producer David Shore gave EW a bit of information about the House/Huddy relationship in the new season. And Huddy fans, it may not be what you were hoping for…
“We’re stepping back from it a little bit. We’re not ignoring it. We have to carry forward… It’s going to go someplace eventually. But the beginning of this season is primarily focused on House trying to find some semblance of sanity, and not completely succeeding.”
FOX Entertainment President Kevin Reilly, celebrates with HOUSE cast member Hugh Laurie, HOUSE creator and executive producer David …read more

July 24, 2009 by Lynn
I want to thank House is Right reader Ági for the tip about this one!! Ági has a Hungarian House fan site, so it’s great to hear from other fans in other countries!!
For the life of me, I cannot get the video to embed in this blog, so I am including a screen capture of the clip that links to the real clip…I know, it’s pretty tricky… LOL!
This is a video clip from Amazon.com that has Hugh Laurie and the executive producers for House, David Shore & Katie Jacobs all talking about making the show. …read more
Katie Jacobs Talks About House Season 6
July 10, 2009 by Lynn
House executive producer Katie Jacobs told an interviewer at the Paley Center about the difficulties House will have when he tries to get back to practicing medicine again in season 6. They say that doctors make the worst patients, and House may make the worst of all. It should be a very interesting season!!
Katie also gives us a few tidbits of teasers about what may happen in season 6 between House & Cuddy:

House Presentation at the Paley Center
June 18, 2009 by Lynn

There’s a very comprehensive play-by-play account of the evening’s House discussion at the Paley Center last night at The Futon Critic, so I won’t re-write the entire thing. I do encourage you to go read the entire account. It’s wonderful.
I do want to share a couple of my favorite quotes from the evening, though. This first one is Hugh Laurie’s trademark wit:
When asked about House’s trip to the loony bin at the end of this season. “It’s all drawn heavily on my personal life,” Hugh quips.
SPOILER ALERT!!
Here’s a quote from David Shore about the beginning of season 6:

Hugh Laurie at the Paley Center
June 18, 2009 by Lynn
As we found out a couple of days ago, Hugh Laurie was at the Paley Center last night along with Katie Jacobs & David Shore to talk about the creative process that goes into the making of House.
I’m really sad that I couldn’t be there, but know that it had to be an amzing evening. I’ll follow this post with one that tells us all about the presentation, but I thought you would love to see some photos of Hugh Laurie that were taken at the event. Yes, he’s still got the beard, but he had it trimmed down short …read more
