House fans know that Hugh Laurie did the voice of the character Dr. Cockroach in the animated blockbuster movie Monsters vs Aliens. I haven’t seen it yet, but I hear that it was very funny and I want to see it. Hugh Laurie is always amazing and he says he had a great time making it, so be sure to watch it if you haven’t seen it either!
Now, it will be so much easier to see it, since it’s out on DVD. I also know two amazing little girls who need for Santa to bring them a copy this …read more
Jesse Spencer Looks Afraid of Monsters
April 12, 2009 by Lynn
I found this very cute photo of House’s Jesse Spencer and his girlfriend Louise Griffiths at the premiere of Hugh Laurie’s newest movie Monsters vs. Aliens.
I know that a lot of House fans would love nothing more than to see him get back together with Jennifer Morrison, but I think when he’s with Louise he seems happier than I’ve ever seen him. And she just seems like a very warm and nice person to me. I am glad they are together. They seem great for each other!

Hugh Laurie Interview This Morning!
March 29, 2009 by Lynn
I awoke to a really fun surprise this morning! I have told my TiVo all of my favorite actors and it just recorded a show this morning for me that I wasn’t expecting. (I just love my trusty TiVo!) The show was a movie review show called Lions & Bailes Reel Talk. The guest that was interviewed on this morning’s show was Hugh Laurie, there to talk about his role as Dr. Cockroach in Monsters vs. Aliens. I immediately went to the web site and grabbed the clip of the interview for you.
Hugh says that he’s happy that Dr. Cockroach …read more
Hugh Laurie Interview Clip for Monsters vs. Aliens
March 27, 2009 by Lynn
I found this terrific short interview with Hugh Laurie about working on Monsters vs. Aliens. The interviewer is the host of Talking Pictures, Tony Toscano and together they discuss the unusual acting process of recording a voice for an animated character. For example, even if the character has to do something as simple as shake their fist, the voice has to convey shaking a fist. It sounds more difficult than regular acting to me, but what do I know?
And stay with it until the end, because Hugh answers a question about the big events the last few …read more

March 26, 2009 by Lynn
Earlier, I posted some photos that were taken of Hugh Laurie on the red carpet at the premiere for his new animated movie Monsters vs. Aliens where he voiced the character Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. But Hugh not only had photos taken, he also stopped to chat a bit with several interviewers. In this first clip, he tells why he likes to work as a voice for animated movies. He has several reasons, but the last one is hilarious!

And here, he tells what the most fun part was when working on the part of Dr. Cockroach. He says that …read more
Hugh Laurie at the Premiere of Monsters vs. Aliens
March 26, 2009 by Lynn
Hugh Laurie seemed to have a fun time with the photographers on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie Monsters vs. Aliens. The animated movie that features Hugh voicing the character of Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D. has been talked about a lot and even though I have yet to see it, I’m sure Hugh makes the cockroach’s character totally believeable.
The fun part of all these photos (12 of them) is that Hugh has so many different expressions. I’ve talked before about how he can create so many different emotions and expressions with his ruggedly handsome face. …read more
Hugh Laurie on David Letterman Show Last Night
March 24, 2009 by Lynn
Last night, Hugh Laurie was a guest on the Late Show With David Letterman. As always, he was hilarious, gracious and gorgeous. Here’s the interview and you just have to watch for his hysterically funny story about taking the cab in New York to the hotel. LOL!
He also talks a bit about his being honored by the Queen and about being chosen to play a cockroach:
Do they have this cockroach and say Hugh Laurie is perfect for the part? Or do they think of Hugh and ask what kind of character should he be? That’s it! A cockroach! …either …read more
